How Do I Get Started?
1. Contact the Implant Resource Center (IRC) at 1-800-565-3559 to find out more about this exciting new program.
2. IRC will determine your implant related goals and needs and personalize our home study and clinical training recommendations to these needs.
3. Order all or as many of the home training modules and DVDs as you see fit to enable you to understand fully procedures and techniques required to clinically place and restore implants.
4. Should you wish clinical training, IRC will send you at no cost all the treatment planning forms to treatment plan your patients and all the literature necessary to inform your patients of this service.
5. To start your clinical training, retrieve all charts of patients with missing teeth (preferably those with edentulous lower jaws and wearing dentures). Lower denture patients are ideal for implant procedures. You may select as many of them as you wish.
6. For each selected patient, you should obtain a orthopanograph radiograph and fill in the treatment planning forms. Send this information to IRC , so we can assess the patients and evaluate their suitability for implants placement. We will then send you a written assessment, along with a detailed treatment plan and estimated costs for each of the patients. The IRC services are performed in absolute confidentiality to the patient and at no cost to you or your patient.
7. IRC will supply you with the necessary patient educational literature, and two visual aid study models to educate and inform your patients about the implant procedure. You will be charged a reduced fee for these products. As well, the Center will assign you an experienced, personal trainer to assist, tutor and instruct you in the implant procedures.
8. IRC will arrange a date convenient to all parties to provide the services for the patients at your office. An estimate of the travel expenses for your personal trainer will be invoiced to you for payment.
9. On the agreed date, the personal trainer will guide you through all the services you will perform on your patients. The Implant Resource Center will supply all equipment, instruments and sundry implant related items at no cost.
10. The Implant Resource Center will charge the patient our standard implant placement fee. This fee includes all implant component costs required to place and uncover the implants. The only cost to you is travel expenses for your personal trainer. If you know of other dentists in the area who wish to participate in the program with you, they can join you with their patients and share the travel costs.
11. The Implant Resource Center will provide you with further IRC Modules to restore both dentate and edentulous mouths. The Implant Resource Center strongly recommends that you participate in the entire 15 Module Home Study Program to fully understand and prepare you for all aspects of implant dentistry at a reduced rate for all modules. |
